Grafika66: The Galleries
Grafika66 – The Galleries is an Unreal Engine app for the PC.
Created to complement the website, presented in a freely explorable virtual gallery environment built in the Unreal Engine.
The app features 11 galleries, most of which are grouped into collections and sets of work.
The art is displayed as framed prints, canvases, and on emissive light panels that run through preset slideshows. Skate decks are also featured on the walls throughout.

The app is available for the PC via the Epic and Steam stores.

Designing
a Virtual Gallery
A challenge of developing this virtual space was designing the style of the galleries that would house all the work. Many of the galleries were redesigned multiple times, experimenting with different approaches and architectural styles that would complement the work rather than compete with it.
The development process was a highly exploratory one, involving trying different approaches and evaluating their effectiveness before settling on the final designs.
The intent was to incorporate a variety of styles in the rooms, while also ensuring that one of the galleries followed a more traditional gallery style — the type commonly found on an average city high street. Gallery 7 became this gallery, and its contents are more varied than those of the others. It features a collection of works that don’t belong to any specific series but are primarily designed to stand alone or function within smaller sets.

This room serves as the starting location for the galleries.
The room is minimal in design; its main purpose being to act as an introduction for the user.
The walls display information that introduces the user to the controllers supported, and the various hotkeys available.
Also included is a little introduction to the app, explanations of the main features available such as a map and teleport system, and where they may find further information and related links to the work on display.
